Greenbelt day 3: Mud and sun

You know you’re at Greenbelt when you are wearing Wellies and worrying about sunburn. That was the experience at the communion this morning. The front section was a cordoned off quagmire but our spirits we less than dampened!

The elements theme of fire, water, earth and wind was beautifully demonstrated in a parade of flags, in towards an altar positions much further forward than normal from the mainstage. Above was a helium filled globe. Particularly moving was the penitence for our role in the destruction of the earth, but we went on to celebrate our connection to it.

The sun continues to shine and so im putting my phone to sleep in the Angela lounge whilst I enjoy Waiting for Godot through the medium of dance and then a touch more of the fabulous Peterson Toscano.

More later!
